Fintech and software engineering for African lenders, insurers and fintechs.
Inople builds lending, collections, payments and compliance software for African financial institutions and fintechs. Our proven delivery on the continent is South African consumer credit: a DebiCheck collections gateway with debt review and credit insurance workflows. For Nigeria and Kenya we bring the same engineering to local rails and regulations.
Which African markets does Inople work in?
Inople focuses on South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. South Africa is where our leadership has shipped banking systems. Kenya, South Africa, Egypt and Nigeria took about 86% of the $3.1 to 3.5 billion raised by African startups in 2025, and fintech took more than 40% of that capital.

What does Inople build for South African financial institutions?
Inople builds DebiCheck authenticated collections, debt review workflows, credit insurance and embedded funeral insurance modules for South African lenders and banks. The April 2026 change to a 60-day debit order dispute window has made DebiCheck migration urgent for many lenders. Our South Africa page covers this in detail.

What do Nigerian fintechs need from a software partner?
Nigerian fintechs need integrations that fit the CBN’s phased open banking rollout, where API access goes to CBN-licensed entities, plus data handling that meets the NDPA 2023 and the GAID 2025 directive. Inople builds BVN and NIN-based KYC flows, NIBSS integrations and audit trails. Nigeria is a capability for us, not yet a delivered project.
What do Kenyan lenders and e-mobility companies need?
Kenyan digital lenders must follow CBK Digital Credit Providers rules, including ID and selfie verification, and the Data Protection Act 2019 enforced by the ODPC. Inople builds M-Pesa Daraja integrations, eKYC and compliant collections. For e-mobility operators we build charging and battery-swap platforms on OCPP and OCPI. Kenya is a capability, not yet a delivered project.
How does an India-based team work with African time zones?
India Standard Time is 3.5 hours ahead of South Africa (SAST), 2.5 hours ahead of Kenya (EAT) and 4.5 hours ahead of Nigeria (WAT). That gives a large shared working day with all three markets. For data residency, Inople can deploy to AWS Cape Town (af-south-1) or Azure’s South Africa regions.

Not yet. Our delivered African work is in South African banking. In Nigeria and Kenya we offer the same engineering applied to local rails such as NIBSS and M-Pesa, and we say so plainly.
Can an India-based team work African business hours?
Yes. India is 2.5 to 4.5 hours ahead of Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria, so most of the African working day overlaps with ours.
Can our data stay in Africa?
Yes. We can deploy to AWS Cape Town (af-south-1) or Azure South Africa regions in your own cloud accounts.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign NDAs before detailed discussions, and our case studies are anonymized.
Do you build for mobile money and USSD users?
Yes. We design for M-Pesa and other mobile money rails, and for users on basic phones where the product needs it.
Do you work with startups as well as banks?
Yes. Alongside bank and lender work, our startup advisory covers business models, MVP scoping and fundraising preparation.
